There are many safe, clean, uncrowded beaches to choose from all within a 30-40 minute drive, where you can enjoy windsurfing, kite surfing, swimming, sand yachting and sailing or just laze on the beach and totally relax watching the world go by.

The most popular beaches are Carnac, Quiberon, Etel, Erdeven, Locmariaquer,Guidal and Quiberon.

There is always something to do and see whatever the time of year in this beautiful area of Southern Brittany.
For the walkers amongst you the local forests of Camors and Lanvaux are littered with numerous footpaths to explore or take your time and stroll along the towpaths of the River Blavet.

If golf is your passion you will be spoilt for choice. There are several 18 hole courses within a 50 minute drive and two nine hole courses within a 20 minute drive.

For those of you who want to be more active you can try your hand at canoeing, tennis, sand yachting, fishing, cycling, horse riding, go carting or quad biking.

But if you are looking for something more adventurous the Cote Sauvage is worth trying especially the Pentiervre area and Port Louis where you can experience sand yachting, windsurfing and kite surfing.

There are many boat trips and ferry tours round the Golfe de Morbihan and to the islands of Belle Ile and Ile de Groix where you can hire bicycles and leisurely ride round the islands.

Throughout the summer months there are numerous festivals in the area giving you the opportunity to join in the local Breton festivities.

The local towns of Baud and Locminé are just 9kms away and both have a good choice of shops and supermarkets for your everyday shopping. Both towns also have banks, post offices and weekly markets.

For dining out there are many excellent restaurants in the local area where you can sample the regional specialties such as the seafood or crepes.

The historic standing stones at Carnac are world famous and definitely worth a visit. They were erected around 4500 BC and form the largest megalithic site in the world.
